Paula Azouri Glashausser is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW74464). Paula earned her BA in Sociology and Clinical Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and continued on to earn her Master of Social Work (MSW) from California State University, Fullerton. Paula has worked with a diverse group of clients with diverse challenges, from all walks of life, in all stages of life. Paula has provided services to children, adolescents, undergraduate and graduate students, adults, older adults, and with clients from various socio-economic, ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities.

Paula has experience as a medical social worker and is also an accredited social work case manager (ACM-SW). She has worked with individuals and couples coping with depression, anxiety, life transitions, personal stressors, relational difficulties, grief, chronic illness, and end-of-life issues.

Paula is trained in the Gottman Method for couples counseling and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), among other treatment modalities. She utilizes a client-centered, strengths-based, nonjudgmental approach with a focus on mindfulness, and provides individualized care in order to meet each client’s unique needs. Paula actively collaborates with clients to best understand their thoughts, feelings, and psychological processes, all while gently guiding, challenging, and supporting clients along the way.

The primary goal is to establish a trusting, safe, and comfortable environment where clients can freely express and process feelings, learn to cope with stressors, establish a secure sense of self, and begin taking steps toward a healthy, stable, well-balanced life.
